Our client base consists of Police and Fire Pension Funds covered
under the Downstate Pension System under Section 40 of the Illinois
Compiled Statutes, Articles 3 & 4.
We have been selected as a preferred provider of actuarial services
by the Illinois Public Pension Fund Association. Furthermore, in our
capacity, as an associate member of this organization, we provide
actuarial assistance in examining the cost effects of potential changes
in statutes. This gives us the ability to recognize early the current
legislative environment and to react quickly as a service to our
individual municipal clients. We also maintain a liaison with the
municipal side through our affiliation with the Illinois Municipal
Treasurer’s Association.
Our services include the following:
- An independent
actuarial valuation for the pension fund to determine the
appropriate tax levies.
- Contribution and
disclosure information for the fund for the fiscal year as
outlined under GASB Statement No. 25 and No. 27 requirements.
- A formal
actuarial report for the fund summarizing the results of the
calculations in accordance with applicable State statutes.
- Portability
calculations as required for the Police Pension System.
